Recognizing Outstanding Student Governments, Presidents & Advisors at ASGA Conferences
At several conferences, ASGA honors exceptional Student Governments, Presidents, and Advisors from across the nation. These awards celebrate the people and organizations making a real difference on their campuses. Any institution attending an ASGA conference, member or non-member, is eligible to nominate. Honorees must attend the ASGA conference at which they’re being recognized.

Public Colleges
Traveling more than 4,000 miles from Alaska, the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks reminds us that student advocacy does not stop at the edge of one campus. Their student government represents student interests across a geographically dispersed university system, including rural and community campuses hundreds of miles from Fairbanks. In a region where distance, climate, cost, and access can all shape the student experience, their leaders work to keep students connected, heard, and represented.
Their student government stands out for its broad commitment to reducing barriers and supporting students’ real needs. Through health and counseling access, travel and academic enrichment funding, free legal consultation, and other student-centered services, they help students stay supported and able to succeed. For these reasons, ASGA is proud to recognize the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks as Public University Student Government of the Summit.

Butler University’s SGA is being recognized for its commitment to improving the everyday student experience through practical, student-centered leadership.
